Come and join us in the beautiful coastal town of Lyme Regis for a relaxed and creative workshop learning the unique art of seaweed pressing.
Melanie & Julia of molesworth & bird will guide you through the process, offering advice on how to forage for the best specimens as well as sharing the basic skills for successful seaweed pressing.
The classes will take place in a bright work space at The Town Mill which is in the centre of Lyme Regis. The studio is situated on the 2nd floor above The Strawberry Tree Restaurant and accessed via a external metal staircase. It is just a 5 minute walk from the beach. Places will be limited to 10 per class and each workshop (held either in the morning or the afternoon depending on the tides times) will last for 3 hours. The aim is for everyone to create a good selection of seaweed pressings with instructions on how to complete the pressing process at home.

A special folder for holding your artwork
10% discount on any sales 'on the day' at our molesworth & bird shop (which is very close by).
Address: The Town Mill, Lyme Regis, DT7 3PU. There is no public parking at the Mill therefore it is best approached by foot. However it is only a few minutes' walk from several carparks including Woodmead Car Park on Hill Road (recommended) and Broad Street Car Park (much smaller).
Once your booking is made we will confirm your order by email. We anticipate that some of you may want to purchase a workshop as a gift for someone, so we will send you an attractive seaweed printed card with the date and time of the workshop booking. We will also send you details of local places to stay, good places to eat and potential places to park.
